This might not apply to fishing directly but it's the best one i could find applying to the topic.
It's just an idea but i think the fire making skill should be developed more. Instead of just being able to make basic cooking fires you should be able to make things like bonfires, poisoning fires, smoke signal fires, and specialty fires used to cook food giving them an enchantment like +2 stamina for every thing made over it. these fires would need special types of wood too like Fel Imbued wood, blood wood, Ice Thorn wood, cursed wood, spirit wood, and ancient wood. The list is endless and the possibility with it.
