    Caught mine just now, about 2 am 5/10/09 (US-Eastern) in the large pool to the south, under Dalaran. Has pillars around it. Took about 3000 fish. I'll post a pic tomorrow. Need to get some sleep!

    Just got it ! Came home from taking my Mom out for Mothers Day and 4 casts and it dropped for me. Prior to that I had done about 4800-5000 since patch day. Caught in Lake Kum"uya in Borean Tundra.

    I just got mine i'm level 10 and it took me about 3000 fished up items junk included at 470 skill. Looks like low level people can get it :) Good luck everyone. (Caught it in Frozen Sea heaps of pools)

    I caught mine a few weeks ago. Fishing in Howling Fjord, at the lake just southwest of Camp Winterhoof. I made one trip around the lake, it was on my 30th cast that I caught it. My druid never gets this lucky!

    I haven't tried yet with my rogue or any of my other characters(I do fishing dailies with 4 characters).

    fished it up after 9500+ fish caughts from Fangtooth Herring school.
    I caught it with my new fishing pole - Jeweled Fishing Pole which i got yesterday:) yaaay

    I did the quest for the +25 fishing pole, and went straight to outland on my DK. Water walking my way down the coast I was able to catch my mount on day two, fishing skill 189.

    Pole +25
    Fishing bauble +75

    All luck, and to be said I was disappointed with the thing. I hope that Blizzard adds some more water mounts. I think a shark that would allow you to breath underwater would be bad ass.

    Almost fished non-stop since patch released, 2500 catches done and still no bloody mount, this will be a tough one... Fished in the Frozen Sea just south of Boreans...
    Btw all my catches are fish caught (that includes pygmy suckerfish/crystallized water/reinforced crate) no junk catches (well a couple, because of missed pools)...

    After my suffering for Pinchy, the RNG gave me some loving. The first day I sat down to farm for the turtle, I got him after about 100 catches.

    Still no rat after 2000 though.

    Caught it yesterday on EU-Auchindoun after somewhere between 600-800 casts

    Caught from a Glacial Salmon pool in Grizzly Hills at (30.2, 40.7) about 20 minutes after catching Dark Herring on Cauldros Isle in Howling Fjord at (55.2, 35.6) so Lady Luck was with me that day.
    I'm guess-timating about 1,000 casts for the Dark Herring.

    For those who ain't got it yet - keep the faith! ;-)

    I stopped counting, but I'd say I'm at around 5000 casts for the turtle so far... On the bright side, my guild seems to appreciate the several hundred fish feasts I've made! :P

    Has taken me into the 1000's of casts but I finally pulled the turtle up from a Salmon pool at blue Sky.

    Thought that would be a good palce as there are loads of pools & few mobs that will attack a lowly player as myself.

    ps. had fished every where else to no avail

    Today I caught mine. I think it was my 174 catch in the Frozen Sea.I was so exicted i could barely breathe and yet now remember the casting number. But I have been fishing for this for a couple of weeks. I do not think i went over 2000 cast'ings.

    I'm not sure how many casts. I wasn't really going for it, just casually fishing. I'd say anywhere between 500-1,000 casts. I got it on my Mage the same day I won the Reins of the Grand Black War Mammoth out of VOA on my Druid. The following day, I got the Deathcharger from Stratholme, so I had a nice lucky streak going for a bit there.

    I am getting discouraged by this mount. I've put in a little over 4k casts so far. I've fished every pool for various lengths of time. I have gotten 5 dark herrings (all within about an hour of each other), yet still no turtle.

    Drop please :(

    EDIT: I'm up to 6155 casts and still no turtle :(. I did get another dark herring tho...On a positive note I made a bet with my friend for 1000g that I would not catch it before 7500 casts! Maybe I'll get it on cast 7501 ... :)
