[Fishing] Turtle, in how many catches did you (not) get it?

    I have also noticed a huge number of people fishing since the patch on the trollbane server. I was fishing when fishing wasn't cool! Lol!

    last night i saw at least 5 people who have the mount on my server (all alliance strangely enough) There were 4 of us on at the same time so we camped in front of the bank for a little while

    i got it after about 2.000 catches.
    the best spot is without doubt the frozen sea south of unu'pe. tons of pools that respawn quite quickly.

    Finally, after 5017 catches, I got mine.
    100 Cobalt Ore, 104 Crystalized Water, 114 Frostweave Cloth, and 22 Borean leather.
    Also, I got 5 Dark Herring =/

    Only used Kalu'ak fishing pole, nothing else.

    Keep trying! It's worth it! Even after 5000 catches, I wanted to kill myself, but it was worth it.

    I won 1000g in the process, friend bet me I'd get it before I hit 3000 casts when I was at 2000 casts.

    You tell me. I was dominating the Cuttlesteak market before 3.1, now there's always 3-4 people fishing on the Frozen Sea.

    Damn FOTMers.

    Oh, yes... no turtle yet. 1100 casts. This is the single thing I want the most this patch! C'mon!

    I caught mine today about 10 mins ago, it was roughly between 900-1000 catches from pools for me and then i got it from a musselback sculpin school this morning. Boy i tell ya, its a big relief to finally get one lol. Keep trying though guys, it shows up eventually.

    I am at the 1500 + mark and no luck on the turtle yet. I did fish up the Dustbringer dagger which is a funny nod to the old Ashbringer rumors. Mainly I've been fishin pools 'round the world and not staying in one area for too long so I can keep a nice balance of fish to supply for raid members etc. Hopefully I can get the turtle to drop this weekend so I can focus on fishing in Wintersgrasp for some added excitement (I'm on a pve server). On a side note I really dislike the new shortened cast time and removal of skill req's for zones. I fish to relax and unwind but somehow now I feel rushed. Oh well I guess it's just personal preference as I fully understand why they implemented the changes. Grats to everyone who fished up the turtle thus far.

    Edit: Got home from work and about 200 casts doing the crystalsong glassfin pools back and forth got the lil turtle!

    caught this mornin in Dragonblight,pool of dragonfin angelfish....i use fishfinder and must have had + 300 casts only when it happend,so i was verry lucky indeed.
    just a assumption but...could it be that early mornin a better chance in getting the turtle since not manny online yet,it was around 7,15 am....
    i mean,not manny could have been caught yet for the day....

    About 5000 fish so far... and nothing... I have fished the schools, caught 3 haunted herring and nothing... The achievement says pools... So does it only have to be a body of water and not an actual school?

    And as i make this post... Someone in guild caught it in the basin along with 3 others today... In a school... Arghh

    The RNG gods finally smiled upon me, and gave me the turtle! I actually started crying after getting it because it took soooo long. The little thing is just too cute!

    I always was competing with anywhere between 1-5 people in the Frozen Sea. I never gave up - I had to stop every 1 hour or so to take some rest, though.

    I had ~1700 Fish Caught, according to the ingame fish tracker.

    Got mine today from a monsterbelly school in the frozen sea. After spending much of last night trying to catch it from imperial manta schools around borean tundra (im lvl 71 atm), i decided to try my luck at frozen sea.

    Much better respawn on pools, and they are a lot closer together. Counting casts from yesterday, i would say only a few hundred casts, 200-300.

    Keep trying if you havent gotten it.

    I just caught mine after 2210 catches (including everything, so probably it's around 1800 or so)
    Caught it in the lake at NW of Sholazar Basin
