[Stranglethorn Extravaganza] Undocumented change to Hook of the Master Angler

    The buff you receive from using this hook used to be limited in how close to the surface of the water you could get. Before patch 2.4 skimming the surface was impossible, your camera had to be under water, and thus your character under water. However, since patch 2.4 I've been able to sit right on the surface of the water and not lose the buff. It only drops if my character leaves the water (jumping, running up the shore).

    Quite convenient as now it's easier to control my character and see where I'm going.

    I would think this change coincided with the change to Druid's Aquatic Form which did the same thing. I don't remember which patch it was, but I believe it was earlier than this most recent one.

    I agree, it's a very useful fix. If only they'd let us leap out of (and back into) the water without losing form... hehe.

    There used to be a glitch when I played my druid where you could. Bear in mind this was before the druid patch which was.. 1.8 or something. When swimming in the lava at blackrock spire climbing out at the shallow area got me stuck in swimming form and I could "swim" around the ground. Not sure if this was fixed or it would work with the trinket though, pity I don't have it or I would try.
