[Fishing] What was in your bag of fishing treasures from Dalaran?

    My Bag of Fishing Treasures on Day 1 included:

    Some Gold
    A New Age Painting
    STRAND CRAWLER!!
    Some other stuff.

    A number of friends couldn't believe I got the pet on the first day -- and neither could I!

    I had a pretty awesome draw. On my first Bag of Fishing Treasures, I got:

    11g vendor trash
    four deviate fish
    a Strand Crawler
    a Tiny Titanium Lockbox, which contained:
    more vendor trash
    a Forgotten Necklace of the Sorcerer (blue necklace, +32 int, +38 spell power, +48 stam)
    a Scarlet Ruby (blue gem)
    a Sky Sapphire (very cheap blue gem)
    a Runed Stormjewel (epic +23 spell power gem)

    Pretty neat suff! I would have liked to see a fishing pole or the hat as well, but you can't have everything.

    I make the angling quest with several characters (9). I try to make the quest every day with all of them and got these things so far:

    - the usual crap like glass in different colors, pygmy oil, deviat fish etc.
    - Porcelain bell
    - the New Age Painting
    - tiny titanium box (with really a lot of gems in it)
    - 2 different Stormjewels (1 out the titanium box)
    - Strand crawler
    - Jewelled fishing pole
    - Bone fishing pole
    - Weather beaten fishing hat
    - the compass
    - glowworms

    I'm really surprised, that I got all this stuff in such a short time. I did the quests for old Barlo in Shattrath when ever I could (with all these chars) and am still missing 2 Hats and true silver fishing line.

    still hoping for a fishing rod (even though I won't use them, the Extravaganza reward is simply better, still need a +5 fishing line for that one though)

    Yesterday the only thing worth mentioning was a new age painting, which vends for about 25g.

    I got the jeweled fishing pole yesterday. Looks to me, that the droprate of the good (blue) stuff is a lot higher then in the Shattrath quests.

    Hard to tell how frequent the blues are yet. I haven't gotten any yet, it's a few pygmy oil, a valuable gray, some deviate fish and cash. I got the 1h lure once. I did get the quest item twice though, but that's basically extra cash.

    Well, my first fishing bag from dalaran wasn't anything to write home about... some gold, the 100g vendor trash bell, 3 pygmie oils and a runic mana potion...

    However, I then finished off the childrens week achievement and after handing my little belf back to the orphanage decided to go and do the Outland daily (shrimp one) before hearthing back to northrend...

    And the outland bag? 2 Water walking pots (lame), Fillet Knife (not too shabby), Truesilver fishing line (now used on my FC-5000) *and* the Weather-beaten hat XD.... Time to go turtle hunting methinks :)

    This idea is made of win :) maybe give fishing the option to craft a whole set of lures at different skill levels :) but not just glass! Myself, I'd want a lure made of a sickly fish, a couple of light feathers and a sprinkling of arcane dust :)

    Would also solve the "How do we increase the catch of fish X without boosting the number of pools, so people that want to get <Y> don't have to bug other people when doing the daily" problem - different lures attract different fish at different %'ages:

    Standard Tundra Inland stats: 55% snapper, 20% Angelfish, 20% Sculpin
    With <Feathered fly lure>: 20% snapper, 55% angelfish, 20% sculpin
    with <Cheese lure>: 20% snapper, 20% angelfish, 55% sculpin

    Ofc, drop %'ages for rare items (Turtle etc) would be identical regardless of lure... Fishing with a biased lure would also have to cancel the effect of pools in biasing catch.

    Ive gotten a LOT of oil. = / Im hoping for the Strand Crawler pet, all of the Croc pets from the Shattrath daily, and the Jeweled Fishing Pole, because that thing is AWESOME. Nothing interesting yet though.

    No luck whatsover yet with the rewards from Dalaran dailies. Got a few of the valuable vendor items and the compass but nothing worthwhile.
    Managed to snag a croc pet and the weather beaten fishing hat from Shattrah but that was before 3.1.

    I found the bone fishing pole about 2 days ago in the Dal daily loot bag and now I can't figure out which pole to use. The Jeweled pole looks nice but the bone fishing pole has a nice, subtle glow to it that i really like.
