[Fishing] Whats your fishing costume?

  1. LinkyKeram <Angler>, 4 years ago:

Iwe ben fishing for around a week now, as i was told it was both relaxing and worth it.
So far iwe gotten lots of diferent Off-Hand fish, such as 17 pound Catfish, the 1 ring, and old Ironjaw. But fishing in totaly heavy plate armor is not COOL or FUNNY, so i thought that in this topic, i want all of you extreme fishermen [And women] to post and discuss a great fishing costume! So far all i can come up whit is some brown boots, a nice looking hat, Blue overalls, and a comfy blue stylish shirt. Eny good ideas ? Post em! :D

    Fishin' aint for sissies!

I've never gotten around to making a fishing outfit, the closest I've come is putting a +fishing enchant on Gauntlets of the Sea.

I'd like to expand the question, and ask if anyone knows of a wow website dedicated to costumes in general? I've never been able to find one.

  3. Tsathoggua <Angler>, 4 years ago:

Well, Tsathoggua has the [Witch Doctor's Wraps] enchanted with the fishing enchant, [Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots], his starting troll shaman shirt, and the fishing daily Fishing Hat. Still deciding on what pants to wear with it all, to look "tribal" enough, yet still go well with the boots. In truth, the [Knitted Pants] from the early cloth vendors look pretty good. Unfortunately the [Zombie Skin] "set" don't go well with Pagle's boots.

Surprisingly, a quick google search of wow fishing outfits bring up lots of pages - including Blizzard pages - which discuss "suitable" outfits for fishing. As for "costume" or "outfit" dedicated sites, most of them seem to bear titles such as "Hot Babes in World of Warcraft Costumes." Meh.

There are, however, numberless threads on the subjects of themed warcraft outfits, on the EU Warcraft forums' "roleplaying" section. I presume similar on the US forums as well.

Mine is just Blue Overalls and a red shirt.

http://www.igsky.com/blog/tinkers-guide-to-the-fishing-extravaganz/ includes a non-comprehensive list of assorted "looks good feeshin' clothes." Hmm... Maybe I'll try to get the Postmaster's Trousers for Tsathoggua's feeshin' clothes.

  6. Oberweiss <Angler>, 4 years ago:

    My full fishing outfit:

Plus, one of these pets, depending on my mood: Silver Tabby (he likes to watch the fish), Magical Crawdad, Muckbreath, Snarly, or Toothy.

  7. LinkyKeram <Angler>, 4 years ago:

Im working on getting exactly the same set as u Oberweiss, Except the gloves.. i got "Gauntlets of the sea" :3

  8. Deathxtreme <Salty>, 4 years ago:

So Oberweiss... I'm guessing you're missing Chuck as well? I have managed to get the other 3 baby croc's, but no Chuck... The ironic thing is that in our guild, I was the first to get to win the fishing tournament, the first to 375 fishing, the first to get my magical crawdad (and Mr. Pinchy, of course), but one of the last to get any of the pets... and i SWEAR they all have chuck.... grrr...

Yep. I, too, am missing Chuck. I had been doing the dailies on 3 different characters, and with quite some luck, my main managed to get everything other than Chuck. My alts have been slightly less lucky. I can't say I've been doing the fishing dailies lately, though, simply because I haven't been playing as much recently.

If it's any consolation, though, I think Chuck's coloring is the least cute of the four. :)

Not that its needed, but instead of the normal blue overalls which EVERYONE sort of uses, if ur an engineer, Farm gnomer for the GRAY ENGIN PANTS !!! Theyr rare and low drop rate yes, but looks WAY cooler then the normal blue ones, include fits nice for a engineer costume ^^ *pround of being engineer <---*
Remember to always come up whit good new ideas! :D

I just put on all my +fishing gear and an azure silk belt for the swim speed, but what I forgot to mention earlier, is that if I'm going to be fishing in one place (as opposed to pool fishing), I activate my Rod of Transformation--my inner furbolg really enjoys fishing :)

  12. Amnon <Salty>, 4 years ago:

Since bag space is a real problem for me, I usually just wear my normal raiding duds, along with my Arcanite Pole (with eternium line, of course), Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots, and my Lucky Fishing Hat (not lucky enough to get the fishing daily hat after months and months...). The only other thing I pretty much always do is whip out my Disgusting Oozeling pet to turn me green and give me some pleasant bubbling, gurgling sounds to listen to when I fish...

  13. Capo <Angler>, 4 years ago:

    Blue Overalls
    Deckhand's Shirt
Ranger Boots of Agility (hopefully replacing with contest boots in 2 weeks)
Hillman's Leather Gloves with enchant...they matched the boots pretty well.
Ranger Hat of the Whale (hopefully replacing with some sort of fishing hat in the future)
and my Seth's Graphite Pole, which I will compliment game GM's for recovering this for me after I vendored it.

I think the Enchanted Clefthoof Boots go very well vith the blue overalls. No shirt tho. You want to look a bit mangy imo.

    So atm:
Enchanted Clefthoof boots (leather). They're quite big and blue and look fishing-like
    Blue overalls
    Fingerless gloves
Stylin' Jungle Hat (Leather and in lack of better)

I too like a rugged/simple look...I pretty much made my outfit to look like what I'd do IRL...my take on it is

    Lucky Fishing hat
    Captain Sander's shirt
    Fingerless gloves with +2 enchant
Azure Silk belt (I wore this before winning my HMA...I don't use it now)
Seafarer's pantaloons I like the way that the Bluegill breeches bow out at the knee better...and even though a bluegill is a real fish...the seafarer name seems more appropriate to a fishing outfit...
Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' boots with speed enchant

I also have my 1&2 rings (I wore my Band of the Icy Depths before I got my HMA) and my HMA trinket equipped

My belf female warlock aint that lucky so i dont have that much awesome things for fishing :
    -Whole Bloodsail Set
    -Fingerless gloves with fishing enchant
    -Hook of the Master Angler
-Nat Pagle's Extreme Angler FC-5000 with +5 line enchant (i wont win again for some reason :<)

Thats about it,i once sold my fishing boots and i saw it too late (Couldnt buy back) but i dont think i realy need it with loads of +100 fishing lures (the set looks hot though ^^)

  17. Kathane <Angler>, 4 years ago:

My troll huntress is my main fisher, her gear looks something like:

    Blue Overalls
    Zorbo's Weatherproof Hat
    Nat Pagle's FC-3000 w/ eternium line
    Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots
And some white cloth gloves with +fishing

  18. Bekkabakoo <Angler>, 4 years ago:

    I have:

    Weather Beaten Fishing Hat
    Blue Overalls
    White Swashbuckler's Shirt
    Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots
Herbalist Gloves (fingerless gloves) with +2 Fishing enchant
    Hook of the Master Angler
Arcanite Fishing Pole with Eternium Line
    Magical Crawdad or Toothy

  19. Tsathoggua <Angler>, 4 years ago:

Well, Gnapoleon is the one who is more likely to dress up for fishing, including Kurkenstocks. Tsathoggua wears his "around town" Witch Doctor getup [his non-combat clothes], being Shaman shirt, any of a variety of kilts, the Voodoo Mask, Witch Doctor's Wraps on his hands [fishing enchanted], and the trollish shoulders from the Defilers.

Unless he's dressing up, in which case the shoulders and mask go with the Zombie Skin boots and pants, and the Frostmane Leather vest.

I can't seem to find any info on these grey overalls from gnomeragan. Do you know the exact name or can you link to them? Thanks!
