[Fishing] Winter's Breath Lake - Dark Herring/Dustbringer

    I've been non pool fishing here hoping for the dagger (Winter's Breath Lake). I'm about 3,000 casts in and I'm not gonna stop either way but .....i know im in-land, just wanted to see if there were any confirmed catches here. Should o move? thanks

    Funny story. I went to Skorn today to do the quests there. I noticed the lake and decided to fish the pools for 10 min before questing - I have not done much fishing with my mage outside of HF and Dalaran so I thought it would be good to fish a new pool type. Four casts later I get the Dark Herring. Talk about luck. So I can confirm you can get the dagger from Winter's Breath Lake.

    Ok well in the south west corner of that lake (where the snow meets the grass) I did mostly non-pool fishing. That being said, there are 3 fangtooth herring pools that spawn right there so if one popped, I fished it. Was fishing in one of these pools when the dark herring dropped.

    Bonescale Snapper: 50.6% (1390)
    Fangtooth Herring: 20.2% (554)
    Glacial Salmon: 16.7% (460)
    Pygmy Suckerfish: 10.1% (278)
    Crystallized Water: 1.3% (37)
    Reinforced Crate: 1.0% (27)
    DARK HERRING: 0.0% (1)

    TOTAL: 2747

    It should be noted although I tried to keep my statistics for this pure I did have about 200 (211 to be exact) casts in other places - mostly on the coast however - in Howling Fjord (Went on a Imperial Mana Ray flight one day from Amber Ledge all the way around the coast to Vengence Landing.....really fun if you're crazy). So it could be argued that actual total was 2958. I will continue my search for this Dustbringer in the same fashion, in the same place since herrings sell for so cheap....I have no reason to fish the pools. I am however becoming more and more certain of better drop rates from pools.

    I made one circumference of the lake when I fished it and there were at least five pools. By the time I got back to my starting point, more pools had spawned. It looked like you could just keep circling the lake and fishing pools.
