    Shame the compass doesn't do something more interesting. Porting you to a random location anywhere in the game might be fun and yet still "cosmetic". Just spinning you around, I can't see wasting a bag slot on that. Hmm, now spinning someone ELSE around for a couple of seconds might be fun :)

    I tried it out with a charater of 200 fishing skills, using a +20 pole, plus the +100 lure and the +10 wine.

    And I was able to complete the quest without problem, although I was having about 50% of my fish escaped from the cast.

    At this point I'm listing the skill requirements from live realms. There certainly are some dramatic changes to skill required in the PTR, which I assume are bugs. For example, last night I was able to cast in Nagrand on a Death Knight with fishing skill 1. Added: Same with Borean Tundra to. Although all seem to get away at that skill point. It's possible this is intended, and the entire skill formula has changed. Anyway, back to the topic...

    I have 2 chars and xferred both to the pve and pvp servers so these were my results for today. I did the dalaran sewer quest for all 4 cuz I was in a hurry.

    Just recieved a Diamond-tipped Cane. Could be used for bank alt gear, like the Monocle. Has the same animation as Noble's Elementium Signet or the JC trainer's hand in Dalaran. Can be enchanted with low level enchants most likely, such as Enchant Weapon - Unholy.

    Is there any confirmation that we'll be seeing the recipe for Captain Rumsey's Lager in the Dalaran fishing dailies? That's the only reward from Barlo that I'm missing, so I'm stuck visiting Outland every day to fight the RNG for it... Having a chance to get it from Dalaran would be sweet.

    As a side note, did fishing get a buff to gold making possiblities. Ulduar doesn't seem to drop the epic gems right now.

    Lol, I am so glad I made those gloves for my Rogue agges ago. .. Now I just have to get from 64 to 80 before Easter. (Given the New Nable Guarden stuff is in the patch something has to come out before Easter)

    The epic gems are BOP - so not really a money maker - but more of a 'self buff' for taking fishing, like enchanter ring enchants, tailor cloak enchants ect

    i've only done the sewers dailies (too many irons in the fire...), so it's possible there.
