Stendel's Bane (News)
Stendel's Bane is a newly discovered catch from Stendel's Pond, north-east of Moonbrook in Westfall. The fish contains Reinforced Fishing Line (+1 line), the only source of Aquadynamic Fish Lens, plus Bright Baubles, cooked (!) Brilliant Smallfish, Nightcrawlers and (reportedly, but rarely) Stendel's Wedding Band, a rare-quality level 11 ring.

Put in 1000 casts so far at Stendel's Pond:
Longjaw Mud Snapper: 587 58.7%
Bristle Whisker Catfish: 224 22.4%
Brilliant Smallfish: 170 17.0%
Stendel's Bane: 12 1.2%
Misc Items/Trophy Fish: 7 0.7%
Drops from Stendel's Bane are consistent with other reports.
With early data from others and myself, I'd venture a guess at a firm 1% drop rate for Stendel's Bane.
No Wedding Band yet, the search continues.

I'm also intrigued about Stendel’s Wedding Band. The item appears on Wowhead, but their sample is very small (6 catches). I caught 4 or 5 Stendel’s Bane before posting this, but never saw the ring either. If it were a randomly named item, I'd entertain the possibility of an error in the data collection. But the name fits the catch perfectly.
Gizel - I don't plan on adding a forum Aquarium entry for every rare catch. The Aquarium is primarily there to give a rough idea of how prolific an angler is. For example, there aren't options for Broken Wine Bottle, which is similar to Stendel’s Wedding Band (not high level, very specific location, major grind). Retrospectively I probably shouldn't have added the numbered rings.

Just got the wedding band from around 1500 cast and around 20 Stendell"s bane. Not sure if I was lucky or the drop rate isn"t so rare .

I believe Stendel and his wife are buried in the graves by the pond. He lost his wedding band to the mighty catfish and was never able to retrieve it, hence, Stendel's Bane.

And ...finaly ...got the "Precious" : Stendel's Wedding Band !
A friend told that it was a wast of time.
But i tell you all , i love my fishing time because i can rest my back in a soft grass while Egbert , happily , run around me, exploring the area, and some times swimming, and ( who knows! ) getting some fish himself.
