WotLK Round-Up: Cooked Fish and Titles

The first cooking recipes for fish have been added in the latest Wrath of the Lich King beta. Recipes and ingredients for the best buff food require Dalaran Cooking Awards - tokens from new daily cooking quests.

Achievements have been updated, including 2 new titles:

    Sounds like East Coasters get a huge advantage of a few hours of extra fishing towards the "Master Angler" title :(

    As currently implemented, Grand Master Angler is effectively a title for the first person to get the box open, who is prepared to spend the first 5 hours of the expansion fishing: Travel to Northrend, train, hearth to somewhere you don't need to lure, fish.

    I'm not sure the server first titles for leveling will make the live game: They seem too arbitrary or open to exploitation.

    Well, I'll probably try to go for it regardless, but I agree. I'm not really a fan of stuff like this.

    Then again, there is another possibility. They might just bring back quest requirements for advancing your rank for secondaries sometime between now and Wrath's launch. That might make it more of a real competition. I doubt it, though, and even if they did that, it would still be mostly arbitrary.

    Anyway, as for the east coast advantage comment, didn't they offer an electronic purchase option for BC? As in, you buy the game electronically beforehand, and your account gets access to it the second the xpac goes live?
